Weekly program

Winter 2023/24

In the winter realm of waterfalls

The Krimml Waterfalls are not only an impressive natural spectacle in summer.
Due to the shady location, only a few rays of sunlight reach the waterfalls
and so beautiful ice formations are created at the right temperatures.

The tour starts at the tourist office in Krimml – where participants receive their snowshoes from the national park ranger. After a few hundred meters, we put on our snowshoes and leave the normal hiking trail – we are now on fields and meadows that are wearing their winter dress. Walking gently uphill, we reach places with a view of Krimml and the Kitzbühel Alps. Shortly afterwards, you reach the winter waterfalls. After a short rest, the tour continues along snow-covered paths and through wintry roads until you reach the starting point of the snowshoe hike again.
